The company's insurers require that anyone who hires the services of HL-Studio for commercial purposes when the owner is absent must hold insurance cover for civil liability of at least 2 million Euros. This condition does not apply to non-commercial rentals or rentals in the presence of the owner.

All parts of the business which include HL-Studio are legally required to declare the purpose of retaining all data held on its customers as of May 2018.

HL-Studio, which is part of IBUDEC, the Independent Business Development Consultancy, normally only retains information necessary for the management of its business and financial affairs, and in particular, for these purposes, normally limits itself to to customer information, and names and business names of subcontractors (if different), relevant full postal addresses, registered offices (if different) for limited liability entities), email addresses, telephone numbers and other contact details provided by the client or subcontractor/contractor for the purpose of commercial contact.

When IBUDEC makes payments or refunds to such customers or contractors, IBUDEC will maintain essential banking details only in password-protected facilities provided by IBUDEC's bankers, but nowhere else.
