Charity fundraising run by an award-winning photographer

Charitable fundraising ...

I have provided all the pre-launch photography and web design services to Prom Dreams, a voluntary organisation based in Horsham, West Sussex providing prom dresses and suits to teenagers whose families were unable to afford to hire or buy them.

I have also shot charity fundraising calendars for Help for Heroes, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and Cancer Research UK.

However, in 2009 I attended two charity fundraising photoshoot days, one at Brownbread Horse Rescue, near Battle in East Sussex, and the other at a privately owned venue for Help for Heroes at Ardingly in West Sussex, run by a fellow photographer.  But when that photographer was unable to continue, the following year I took on the mantle.

And so was born "Barney's Group Shoots".

2022 was, for me, the the thirteenth and final year in the UK, and in that time over 120 different photographers and over 200 different freelance models, dancers, actors, acrobats and more, ably supported by makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers and many others, all of whom have given their time freely, have raised thousands of pounds for a raft of different charities.

Here's the list so far, with details of the venues, all of which have been donated free-of-charge.  The UK events are now run by two of my close friends, actor and film director Marcus Massey and model Leah Meraki.  If you would like to seek their support for your charity, then please come up with a venue, and they'll do the rest.
